Portable Unit:  the Rhythm Healthcare P2-E7

Most portable oxygen concentrators rented by medical supply stores weigh 15 pounds or more.
The P2-E7 :

  • weighs 4.37 pounds,
  • runs up to 7 hours on a single battery charge
  •  and meets all FAA requirements for use on commercial aircraft.

It’s a genuinely portable concentrator — light enough to carry through an airport, small enough to fit in a bag, and powerful enough for everyday use.

Rental Rates

Duration Rate
Weekly $250
Monthly $450
  • Minimum rental: 1 week. Shorter stays are charged at the weekly rate.
  • Extended rentals: Need it longer than a month? Call us and we’ll work out the timing.
  • Prescription required: A valid doctor’s prescription with a liter flow rate is required for all oxygen equipment.
TOC3 Oxygen Concentrator

Need continuous flow oxygen — not just pulse dose? Most portable concentrators, including the P2-E7, deliver oxygen in pulses triggered by your breath. That works well for active use, but if your prescription calls for continuous flow — common for sleep, rest, or post-hospital discharge — you need a unit that can do both. The following model offers stationery-like qualities but in a transportable size.

Also Available: Rhythm Healthcare TOC3

The TOC3 delivers both continuous flow (up to 3 LPM) and pulse dose
(up to 10 settings) in one unit — making it the right choice for
patients who need uninterrupted oxygen around the clock, including
overnight. It comes with a carrying bag and a wheeled cart for
transport between home, appointments, and travel.

Monthly rental: $500/month

Renting vs. Buying

Renting makes sense when your oxygen needs are temporary — recovery, travel, a family visit. If you use supplemental oxygen daily as part of ongoing treatment, owning your own unit is usually the better move.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need a prescription to rent an oxygen concentrator?

Yes. Medical oxygen requires a valid doctor’s prescription that includes a liter flow rate.

Can I fly with a portable oxygen concentrator?

The P2-E7 meets all FAA criteria for use on commercial aircraft. Check with your airline for any additional requirements, and carry enough battery to cover your flight time plus delays.

How long can i rent the portable oxygen concentrator for?

Weekly or monthly, with the option to extend. Minimum rental is one week.

What's the difference between the P2-E7 and the TOC3?

The P2-E7 is a lightweight pulse dose unit — best for active, mobile use. The TOC3 adds continuous flow capability for patients who need steady oxygen during sleep or rest, not just when active.

How much does it cost to rent a portable oxygen concentrator in Los Angeles?

The Rhythm Healthcare P2-E7 rents for $250 per week or $450 per month. The TOC3, which adds continuous flow, rents for $500 per month. Call (310) 829-1777 for availability.
